Mia is 12 years old! I can't believe it. This girl brings more joy into the world than anyone I know, and we are so thankful she is our daughter.
We celebrated Mia the weekend before her birthday this year with a small party. After drama practice on Friday, we picked up Mia, Abigail, Bella, and Frances. We drove to The Battery for pizza at Antico, playing on the green, and then a round at The Escape Room. It was such a fun evening and right up Mia's alley!
We chose the playground theme escape room. We had one hour to work together to find and piece together clues to complete 10 tasks. We hustled throughout the game and managed to get the last clue in place with 15 seconds to spare. Bella thinks she saw an extra minute get added to the board, but that doesn't matter. We won and had an absolute blast doing so!
We came home for cookie cake and a sleepover after the game was finished. Fabulous friends and an exciting game are the perfect way to celebrate Mia.
On her actual birthday, she opened presents from family. She loved all the gifts, but especially the Throw Throw Burrito Extreme game from Lily. We love the regular size version of this game, so get the extreme version is awesome. We'll see what kind of competition this leads to! Our family also went to dinner at Silla Del Torro on the Marietta Square. It's a delicious tapas restaurant that we've recently discovered. Mia had never been before, but she wanted to give it a try for her birthday dinner. It did not disappoint.
Of course, I also asked Mia for all her current favorites; it's so fun to see how these change over the years.

We are so proud of and thankful for our Mia. She loves the Lord with all her heart. She is tenderhearted, kind, generous, and compassionate. I can't wait to see how God uses these gifts as she continues to grow up. She loves to read, play any kind of game, watch Marvel movies, and listen to fun music. She still gives the best hugs around and is super cuddly. This world is better because she's a part of it.
