This year marked the 9th summer for the girls to be a part of Camp Crestridge. We absolutely love this camp! This summer was a little different though. Lily had the opportunity to serve as a SALT ("service and leadership training"). This is a cool program for girls between their junior and senior years of high school. They are there for an entire month, and the majority of their time is spend serving. They work in the kitchen serving meals and cleaning up, they help with laundry, and they assist older counselors with their cabins and with their skills. They also have some fun perks where they get to go off-campus for dinner and shopping a few times. They can build some pretty solid friendships in this time, and I think that's the best part of all. We are so proud of Lily for taking advantage of this opportunity!
They also went to a beautiful field one day for a photoshoot; I loved these pictures!
We brought Mia up to camp for the last session of the season, so she and Lily were there together for the last two weeks. Mia is in the Bluerock village this year which is the oldest group of girls who are campers. It's fun to realize she started the very first summer in the youngest village, and here she is now in the oldest group!
I always love to see pictures from the camp of all the fun activities going on.
Of course, my very favorite pictures are when my two girls are together!
We are so thankful for Camp Crestridge and all the great memories that are made there!
